A unique musical tapestry                   The Dave Rowe Trio presents a fresh take on the folk scene with powerful three-part harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, exciting showmanship, and keen songwriting. They respectfully build on tradition to move the music into a new groove, using broad-shouldered Celtic classics, hairy-chested nautical songs, rollicking bluegrass and Appalachian tunes, old-time instrumental masterpieces, , captivating originals, and Downeast wit pepper every show by the Maine-based Dave Rowe Trio. This group of seasoned musicians seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary music, effectively transporting the listener to another time and place where song and story were the most agreeable way to pass the days.  The trio’s inventive use of instrumentation on guitar, mandolin, electric bass and tin whistles along with their strong three-part vocal harmonies which hearken back to the great folk bands of the 1960s create a unique musical tapestry rarely heard in the contemporary folk landscape.
